TANI GUPTA

Currently enrolled at Parsons, I live and create in Paris, a city that constantly shifts between history and movement, silence and spectacle.

Raised between cultures, I learned to observe before speaking, to notice light, gesture, and atmosphere. Moving through different environments shaped the way I see the world with curiosity and emotional sensitivity. My inspiration is deeply human. I look, I notice, I feel, and then I translate.
Working across photography, film, and creative direction, I aim to capture more than just moments. I am interested in states of being, in what lingers before and after the frame. Each project becomes a reflection of both my internal landscape and the world around me.
Trilingual and continuously learning, I adapt easily to people and spaces. Connection is central to my process. I believe image-making can create space for voices that are often unseen and expand the boundaries of a restrictive industry.
I am fascinated by capturing time, emotion, and tension, building visual narratives that feel intimate, intentional, and immersive.
I create to observe.
I observe to understand.
I understand through image.
